Summary
Les émotifs anonymes is the love story of two quiet, socially awkward romantics who find love when they start working together at a chocolate shop. Simply busting at the seams with blushing flirtations and complete with the obligatory loving-eye-contact-through-shop-window scene, the film is your typical wacky French romance film with just enough mushiness warm your heart without making you gag.
Mini-Critique
Les émotifs anonymes is the perfect movie for a cozy Saturday night in with wine, a facemask and an obligatory box of chocolate. With it's no-stress plot, cobblestone streets and adorably awkward protagonists, its the endearingly quirky love story that French directors do best. Classic film connoisseurs and hopeless romantics will certainly love the aesthetic and plot. This is also one of the only French films I've come across that ~might~ actually be appropriate for children (read: there's only one raunchy scene you'd need to fast-forward)!
